Decendants of the Wild Men of the unknown east of Middle-earth, the Easterlings had a fierce reputation and attacked Gondor more than once in the Third Age.
Known from the movie version of The Lord Of The Rings, the Easterlings feature walking out of The Black Gates of Mordor and almost stumbling over Sam and Frodo in The Two Towers as well as in The Return Of The King, where they take part in the Battle of the Pelennor Fields and the Siege of Minas Tirith.
Weta has previously produced a statue of an Easterling Soldier as well as an Easterling Helmet.
