Fans of Marvel’s The Incredible Hulk comic books share an affinity for the big green guy – but what many of them might not know is that Dr. Bruce Banner’s alter-ego was not always green! When the now-iconic character made his debut in The Incredible Hulk #1, published in May of 1962, the character was colored grey! The skin-color decision belonged to then editor-in-chief Stan Lee, who wanted to make the unlikely – and very angry – hero a color that was not associated with any particular ethnic group. However, due to inconsistent coloring techniques at the time, the grey coloring never really worked. Throughout the first issue, Hulk appears in various, inconsistent shades of grey. And so, for the sake of consistency, from issue #2 onward, the Hulk's skin became its trademark green!

Now, Master Replicas and Marvel have teamed together to create a Comic Book Scene Replica of the infamous cover of The Incredible Hulk # 1, featuring the Hulk, as Stan Lee originally intended him – in shades of grey! This dynamically sculpted resin piece brings artist Jack Kirby and inker Paul Reinman’s beautiful 2-D art into stunning 3-D life!

•Made from high-quality resin

•Realistic sculpt, based on the original comic book artwork

•Individually numbered, and strictly limited to 2500 pieces
